About Me

Hi, I’m Lizzie — your English teacher and confidence coach! 👋🏼

I’m a Cambridge CELTA qualified English teacher with 20 years of experience helping learners from all over the world improve their English and build confidence.
Before earning my CELTA in 2014, I was a Teaching Assistant in schools in the south of England, and since then I’ve taught, and managed schools, across Vietnam, Thailand, Cambodia, Italy, and the UK.

One of my favourite things about teaching is helping students communicate naturally and confidently in real life. I believe learning English should be enjoyable, practical, and empowering - not just memorising grammar or textbook exercises. 

As a lifelong movie / TV and music lover, I often bring real world language from films / YouTube / reels / social media ....etc into my lessons to make learning fun, improve listening and speaking skills, and explore real-life expressions.

My lessons are always personalised to what your interest and hobbies are. 

What I Teach:

I specialise in Conversational English for all learners, focusing on fluency, pronunciation, and everyday communication. I also teach practical skills for work, school, and life, including:

• Exam English (KS2 - GCSE's - language and literature) – building critical thinking and exam confidence

• Presentation skills – speaking clearly and confidently to any audience

• CV & cover letter writing – showcasing your strengths professionally

• Job interview preparation – answering difficult questions naturally and with confidence

• Form filling, email writing, and everyday English – the language you need for daily life

• IELTS exam preparation – all English skills across academic and general tests

• SEN support – lessons tailored to individual learning needs, helping students build confidence and progress at their own pace.
